Traditional Bulgarian Calendar: Illustrated Encyclopedia presents Bulgaria abroad, combining for the first time and illustration into an integral whole. Use has been made in the publicatoin of 145 calendar holiday rituals, 29 holiday feasts and 17 icons on biblical subjects. They give the reader an opportunity to get in touch with the uniqueness of the Bulgarian tradition, and with its originality in associating folk conceptions, beliefs and ritual actions with the Eastern Orthodox Christian calendar.
